Action Policies

  • Accelerate the promotion of electric vehicles

Accelerate the promotion of electric vehicles by increasing the number of test-drive vehicles, expanding e-sharemobi (car sharing), and promoting DX sales tools

  • Maintain and improve EV maintenance capabilities

Maintain and improve EV maintenance capabilities by training certified EV mechanics and acquiring their skills.

  • Raise the ratio of electricity generated from renewable energy sources

Raise the ratio of renewable energy electricity used in business activities at the head office and stores

  • Increase the number of stores with energy storage systems

Increase the number of stores with energy storage systems using solar power generation and reused EV batteries

Examples of Initiatives

Promoting EV sales and contributing to carbon-neutrality

We are promoting various initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality. For example, we are focusing on expanding sales of EVs, which emit less CO2 over their lifecycle*1 than comparable gasoline-powered vehicles (see figure below). To date, we have sold more than 12,500 *2 EVs, contributing to a reduction of approximately 21,000 tons of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, as the use of renewable energy sources in each stage of the life cycle progresses, the reduction effect can be expected to increase.

In addition to increasing the number of test-ride vehicles at our dealers, we will expand new sales channels by promoting DX sales tools, and expand opportunities for hands-on experience through car sharing so that more customers can experience driving EVs and other electric vehicles. Through these efforts, we aim to achieve annual EV sales of 10,000 units and annual CO2 emission reduction of 16,000 tons by FY2026, and will promote the strengthening of our sales and proposal capabilities.
