"Materiality" Is a Set of Important Issues for Sustainable Growth
that the NTH Group Must Address from a Long-term Perspective in its Sustainable Management.

Four Material Issues Based on the Basic Sustainability Policy

The NTH Group aims to provide customers with comfortable lifestyles through the provision of mobility and related products and services, and meanwhile, to prosper together with local residents through proactive contributions to local communities and society. In order to achieve this goal, the perspective of sustainability is indispensable, and in recent years, the Group's social responsibility has become even greater.

We also believe that sustainability initiatives not only reduce risk but also lead to profit-earning opportunities, thereby contributing to the enhancement of corporate value.

Based on this belief, in December 2021, the NTH Group formulated its "Basic Sustainability Policy." In our sustainability initiatives, we have identified four material issues based on our business characteristics and business environment: "addressing climate change", "realizing a safe and secure society", "respecting human rights and enhancing human capital" and "contributing to the community". We are also continuing to examine KPIs that will serve as guidelines for the progress of our initiatives.

Materiality Identification and KPI Formulation Process

  1. Identification of issues affecting the environment, society, and economy

From the 169 targets linked to the 17 goals of the SDGs, the project team plotted the 10 social issues that match the company's Basic Sustainability Policy on the "Materiality Matrix" to confirm the comprehensiveness of the issues and clarify their positioning. In doing so, we also took into consideration that there should be no deviation from the materiality of our largest business partner, Nissan Motor.

  2. Identification of materiality through management discussion

The management discusses the addressed social issues and identifies issues that are extremely important to both stakeholders and the company as material issues.

  3. Establishment of action policies and KPIs

Set the company's policy for addressing each of the identified material issues. KPIs will be set in cooperation with related business companies and divisions.
